Marketing: Social Media Strategy - Step 1: Social Media Audit (Part 2)

In this video/post, we will be discussing the Website Traffic Assessment.


This is very important for social media managers and marketing managers.


The Website Traffic Assessment allows you to understand whether or not your social media channels are driving traffic to your websites.


To begin, go to your Google Analytics page. This is where you will find the information to complete the assessment.


There are three bullet points or things you need to write down from your analytics:

  1. Volume - How many people are coming from social media to your website?

  2. Percentage of Overall Traffic - Of all your marketing channels, what percentage of traffic, coming to your website, is social media?

  3. Conversion Rate - Are you actually converting people into customers?
